Summer Learning Program

2022 Summer Learning Program logo

The 2022 Summer Learning Program is designed to be a fun, encouraging, and invigorating way for children to continue learning outside the classroom and stay on track for the coming school year.

This year’s theme, “One Minnesota, Many Stories” will feature events and activities that highlight the great treasures Minnesota has to offer.

Sign up here for our summer reading updates.

Reading Challenges

Ages 0-8:  Read for fifteen minutes each day from June 6th through August 6th (for a grand total of 930 minutes!) to earn a reward. Stop by the library between August 6th and August 27th to pick up your prize.

Ages 9-18:  For every two hours spent reading, earn an entry into our grand prize drawing—the more you read between June 6th and August 6th, the better your odds of winning! Finish your reading by August 6th and turn in your prize drawing entries before noon on August 11th for a chance to win.

Adults:  Play Summer Book BINGO and win a gift card to either Mom & Pop's or Pub 500! Turn in your BINGO sheets by August 6th.

Register for the program and stop by any of our three library locations to pick up your Summer Learning Program T-shirt (while supplies last)!

How to Register

This summer, there are two ways that you can keep track of your reading:

  1. Log in to our Beanstack app to keep track of your reading virtually. Earn virtual badges as you go.
  2. Pick up a reading/learning log from any of our libraries.
