Legal Resources
Blue Earth County Law Library
Most people know about the Blue Earth County Library, but few know the benefit of the County's other library. The Blue Earth County law library on the third floor of the County Courthouse has expanded to include reference material at the Blue Earth County Library.
The law library isn't just for attorneys, but can be used for everyday issues including landlord/tenant, probate, divorce, small claims court and estate planning. Books are available at the Blue Earth County Library.
Westlaw
Since legal researchers are more likely to pull up to a computer terminal rather than crack open a leather bound book, the Blue Earth County Law Library has two computer terminals as well. One is located in the County Courthouse third floor law library quarters. The second is in the Blue Earth County Library.
Offering the computer terminals at both locations allows attorneys and the general public convenient access to free legal research through the Westlaw computer system. Library resource librarians can provide help to get beginners started on computer legal research.
Westlaw can only be accessed at the Blue Earth County Library or the Blue Earth County Courthouse.
