| Twenty-five area youth worked together to celebrate Blue Earth County's 150th Anniversary by painting the Passage of Time Mural. An unveiling event on August 26, 2002, celebrated their success. |
On May 14, 2003, the mammoth 5 x 15-foot Passage of Time mural completed a fearless journey to the Minnesota State Capitol. In commemoration of Blue Earth County’s Sesquicentennial, the Blue Earth County Library's Passage of Time mural was on display in the First Floor North Corridor of the State Capitol through May 23, 2003.
The painting is on display in the Library's children's wing, where it will stay for years to come. The mural is a lasting example of the concerned and caring youth who are proudly celebrating Blue Earth County's 150th anniversary this year.

Proceeds from the print sales will benefit future youth programs at the Library.
