New guidelines in place for Library donations
Starting April 18 the Blue Earth County Library will implement new guidelines for book donations. The guidelines are as follows:
1. Donations of printed materials including paperback books will be accepted the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon.
2. Donations of VHS and DVD’s, books on tape or CD’s will be accepted at any time.
3. Printed materials will be accepted if published in the last five years and are in good to excellent condition. Rare and collector books will be accepted or refused based on condition and value.
4. Printed materials not accepted included textbooks, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, magazines and encyclopedias.
5. Paperback books and current magazines in good condition may be put in the Paperback and Magazine Exchange areas of the Library at any time.
6. Any and all printed material may be accepted or refused based on the above criteria.
Volunteers from the Friends of the Deep Valley Libraries will be stationed at the Library garage doors on the designated donation days. Library donations are greatly appreciated.
